Hi peeps here's a short lesson:

Counselor is not the correct word to address rank
ie: A Jedi Counselor is basically a Jedi shrink

Council and Counsel are two different words with different meanings, same goes for Councillor and Counsellor

Councillor is someone with a position on the Council
Counsel, is advice given by a senior formally, often from said Councillor
ie: "Master, I seek guidance and counsel on my mission."

Counselor - 1) a person trained to give guidance on personal, social, or psychological problems
2) a person who supervises children at a camp.

1) Gaming could easily be considered a social interaction and clan issues could easily be considered therefore social issues within the clan.

2) change the words/wording of children into students and at camp into at a/on a game server and boom meaning is the same and comes together

It just doesn't make sense by wording as base "Counselor" because its a nonfictional word incorporated with a fictional role. (Jedi)  

But I do see your point by straight forward definition and will edit the rank name, good find AEth!  

Jalus Kin of 1st generation {JO|SO} was the one who'm developed the initial names of the Jedi ranks including Counselor. (minus the brand new editions)
